With redactions, of course. You're welcome. 05:42 EDT But, no, there's no bamboo there. Nor anything else one might fashion a rudimentary canon from. There's not much of anything there but sand and rocks. We lived just 13 miles (bike-riding distance) from Vasquez Rocks for six years, so, of course, we spent a lot of time there, usually camping out with the Boy Scouts, or with the ward on one of my kids' beloved father-son campouts. Notice how much it looks like a desert? That's because it is. Or, at least, it was, the whole time we lived there, and it was at least as far back as when those early episodes of Stark Trek were filmed there. But we've been gone a decade now, and that's not what Vasquez Rocks looks like now. This is what it looks like now. The desert is blossoming as a rose. Is this a sign? And why is this? Because the weather patterns are changing all over the world. Arabia is under water. Mesopotamia is flowering again. There's been snow on the Sahara three years in a row, now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 06:48 EDT Be sure to watch the embedded video from NASA. Notice what he says about bringing backup power-transmission capacity back on line. 07:22 EDT I found page 38 poignant. Enjoy! 08:00 EDT And that is of particular interest to us because it relates to religion. How? As I keep saying, science and religion actually are actually the same thing, as evidenced by the fact that both have a priesthood, catechisms, priests, doctrines, temples, synagogues, tithing, dogmas, and, most importantly, prophets and prophecies. Now recall what Joseph Smith said about how to discern a true prophet or a false prophet: A true prophet's prophecies are fulfilled, while a false prophet's prophecies are not. Now apply this to science. A scientific 'prophet' (Einstein, Bohr, ...) will develop a theory, and that theory must make predictions (which is why I question whether Quantum Mechanics can be considered a theory). And, that's what you see in so much news today: Efforts to argue for or against one theory or another. That's why you keep seeing mentions of this or that experiment supporting Relativity, the Expanding Universe (Big Bang Theory), Global Warming, or whatever. They're still trying to prove that their preferred theory's predictions have been proven true. And here's a recent, excellent, overview and introduction to the Electric Universe theory. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 08:13 EDT I would also like to point out Orrin Porter Rockwell's hair. Think about it. WARNING!!! Robert speaks quite frankly about sexuality here. If that's difficult for you, then don't watch this video. My poor daughters. It really is true that women marry men like their fathers, and my daughters grew up with a bearded father. They've never seen me clean-shaven except in pictures from my military days. How will they ever find a man in this day and age who not only wears a beard, but is worthy of it? 10:09 EDT What about what HRC allegedly said, Stephen? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 12:21 EDT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 15:51 EDT Finally! A Justice Department that actually does its job! |
