(It's Weather's day!)

I could hardly agree more.

     Enoch blames the end of the world on the Sodomites. I used to wonder how that could be. Not anymore.

Perfect timing once again

     I was just mentioning the cascading cosmic ray bombardment yesterday.

     And here's that paper.

Infrared, Water Vapor, and Surface Temperature

     Yes. All that satellite imagery that I complained about not having is publicly available, including water vapor.

     Kinda. I said it was your local weather radar that didn't show humidity. It shows clouds.
     Here's what the vapor looks like:

     As compared to weather clouds:

     It's still not ground-level humidity, but it might be good enough.
     Still, what's not available to me is time/location-tagged, raw data. I don't have the tools or time to overlay and compare this much visual information. That's why I wrote that. But I am trying to get it from NOAA. Don't you just love it when they answer a question with a question? Really makes you feel stupid. Guess I wasn't specific enough.
     Of course, yes, you all know that I'll keep you all updated as I get more.

Bitter Bette

     Since she won't delete that original, defamatory tweet, I decided to share this with you all.

     Reminds me of D&C 10:25-26.

Education!

     Here's a tip from an acquaintance you might find useful:

THE key

     This was supposed to be one of my epistles, but I've procrastinated too long. Stumbling over this web-site is a sign that I need to get moving.
     An expanded version will appear among my epistles later.

     In case I've somehow failed to make it abundantly clear, I believe science to be a religion, and religion to be science, and that both have simply lost sight of that fact. In his Lectures on Faith, Joseph Smith even validates Charles Buck's assertion that religion, or rather theology, is a science.
     In D&C 129, Joseph Smith further explains that a key is information which empowers one to discern.
     In D&C 131:7-8, Joseph Smith gives us another such key by explaining the relationship between spirit and matter, something strangely too physical, temporal, or real for far too many members to pay much attention to, but which is also the key to tying our faith to a past religion, a religion which has come to be known to us through the Greeks as philosophy, which became natural philosophy, which became ... science.
     How does D&C 131 do this?
     By associating spirit and matter, Joseph Smith not only validates the ancient concept of the aether, but also the Greek belief that this aether, which we call spirit (as opposed to spirits and THE Spirit), was the fifth element or state of matter: Solid, Liquid, Gas, Plasma, and Aether.
     It was this aether which the Greeks believed, by way of excellent applications of their only infallible tool, logic, having at that time neither telescopes nor microscopes (which, by the way, Joseph also had no access to), to be not only the fundamental element, but even the basis of all matter, of all creation.
     And, although officially denied, that idea actually persists to this day.
     Using the Greeks' same infallible tool, in addition to a few early versions of our more modern, investigative tools just emerging at the time, the late, great Max Planck, the originator of Quantum Theory, even said, quite famously, that "All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter."
     Force ...
     Mind ...
     The matrix of all matter ...
     Of course, he's describing God.
     So, how is it then, that, when so many of science's own foundational luminaries were so convinced of the exitstence of God, that science today seems possessed of a single-minded obssession with disavowing God?
     The only answer to that question, of course, is the very same Satanic corruption which has nearly destroyed the world.
     But more on that another time.
     For now, we'll focus on the keys Joseph gave us. And isn't it just marvelous that he also told us in the Lectures on Faith that the Holy Spirit is the mind of the father and the son?
     One is almost persuaded to believe that Max Planck read Joseph's writings.
     But, it's again the D&C which gives us the final piece, or key, of this particular puzzle in section 88, verses 5-13, which I'll quote here fully:
     5 Which glory is that of the church of the Firstborn, even of God, the holiest of all, through Jesus Christ his Son -
     6 He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth;
     7 Which truth shineth. This is the light of Christ. As also he is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was made.
     8 As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power thereof by which it was made;
     9 As also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they were made;
     10 And the earth also, and the power thereof, even the earth upon which you stand.
     11 And the light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through him who enlighteneth your eyes, which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings;
     12 Which light proceedeth forth from the presence of God to fill the immensity of space -
     13 The light which is in all things, which giveth life to all things, which is the law by which all things are governed, even the power of God who sitteth upon his throne, who is in the bosom of eternity, who is in the midst of all things.
