(It's the other Saturn's day!)

Evolution?

I've heard similar things from other researchers. Electric impulses, properly modulated, control embryonic development.

Some profanity!

Vignettes

Our family's had some memorable times, resulting in some hilarious exchanges. Marlina has long been known for what we've come to call Mommyisms, like "The apple doesn't fall far from the cart.", but the kids haven't been one whit less amusing.
When I was working in Houston, Marlina and the kids came to spend the summers with me. (We weren't home-schooling yet, so we had to wait for their summer break.) We were even considering moving there, so we would take an evening now and then to tour the local neighborhoods.
After a while, came the inevitable complaint from the third row:
     "Are we lost?"
Which was immediately answered from the second row:
"No. Papi's driving. If we were lost, mami would be driving.
(She hates when I tell that story.)

On another occasion, again while driving the whole family somewhere, I perceived some effort to outsmart mom and dad beginning to take shape, and preempted it by pointing out that I knew very well what thoughts were brewing in the backs of their minds. This, of course, prompted the query as to just how I could know such a thing.
"Because," I said, "I was once just like you."
Suddenly, my youngest blurted out, "WOW! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?"
And, just so you know where they get it, once my wife recovered her composure, I answered, "It's not the years; it's the mileage."
How appropriate that we practically raised them on Indy.
