(It's Ohrmazd's day!)

Where are they now?

     The planets, that is.

Notice that neither Mars nor Venus is visible right now, but Jupiter is catching up with Saturn, so we should have a conjunction starting in about six months, peaking in about ten months, and lasting through the end of the year.
In fact, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto will be very close to one another between Capricorn and Aquarius throughout all of 2020.
On 03/17/2020 at 09:00 GMT, the moon, Mars will be directly in line with Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn.
On 03/18/2020 at 08:51 GMT, the moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto will all be in a line together between Capricorn and Aquarius.
On 03/30/2020 at 23:34 GMT, Mars will be in line with Saturn and Pluto.
But the sun will be up for all of these, so we won't see it. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
On the evening of 04/15/2020 at about 18:00 GMT, the sun will rise just in time to see the moon set right in front of Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, all together in the sky at once.
About 04/24/2020, Mars will conjoin with Jupiter, which is already conjoined with Saturn, and all of them in line with Pluto, and Venus will be creeping up on us from behind, transiting soon after.

In fact, Jupiter and Saturn will remain pretty close to one another throughout all of 2020, but they will conjoin in August, as I said, and again in December, although we may not be able to see it then.
On 07/21/2020 at 07:00 GMT, the moon, the sun, the earth, and Saturn will all be in line.
On 08/01/2020 at 22:32 GMT, we should see a full moon right between Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn. Pluto, of course, will still be back there, too. This should be visible each night for a few days before and after.
It's gonna be an awesome year, especially April and August.
On 01/28/2021 at 06:00 GMT, the moon will be full, which means the moon, the earth, and the sun are all in a line. And these will also be in a line with Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, aaaaaaaannnnd ...

     VENUS!
That's seven out of nine celestial bodies all in a row.
     I wonder ...
The next 18 months are pretty remarkable.
     Don't forget.
There are those in my audience who get the signifigance of all of this.

Still think this isn't a war?

Good points!

Dave walks us through the curious history of intersectionalism.
Just in case you didn't know, intersectionalism is a trading-card game; the more victim groups you can claim membership in, the more power you wield. So, as you might guess, black, lebian females rule the roost. The only thing that could trump them is, say, a trans, black, lesbian male who snuck into the country illegally.
But, if enough erstwhile leftists, fence-sitters, and jaded Kennedy Democrats finally wake up to the fact that, not only are the Republicans/conservatives none of the things they've been led to believe they are, but that the Democrats really are the party of sexism, racism, elitism, and even Eugenocide (sorry) (I invent words like that), and, in fact, all the other things that the rest of us have been warning the world about for decades, the entire leftist mantra will collapse like so much limp spaghetti in a classic case of The Emperor's New Clothes.

The day is not long hence when they won't be able to walk down the street in safety. They'll volunteer for prison just to escape the public's wrath.

Uh...

I just can't say it again.
     It's just so wrong.
But you gotta know that I'm just dying to say it again.
     Oh, for cryin' out loud!
You just can't make this stuff up!

Newspeak

You're probably already quite familiar with George Orwell's 1984, and the newspeak concept he explained in its pages. Now, this newspeak was quite bizarre to readers back in the day, especially its apparent association with news speak as well as new speak. I think that's why Orwell concatenated the works like that. He meant people to process the word both ways. But, I think few people actually ever made the connection that they were already victims of this Orwellian tactic.
     What am I talking about?
     Consider the word, regulate.
What does it mean to you?
Is your mind immediately filled with impressions of limits, restraints, and restrictions? Probably so. After all, that's what regulations do, right? Can't do this. Can't do that. Must report when. Must get approval for what. It's a regulated environment. You don't even question it, do you? You don't even ever think about it, do you? You just automatically fall into the same habit we all have of intuiting the meaning of the word by the context in which others appear to use it. And you never look it up.
Well, here's the definition from Webster's 1828 dictionary, which just happens to be almost identical to their 1700 dictionary, but more legible:

     Regulate

     REG'ULATE, verb transitive

     1. To adjust by rule, method or established mode; as, to regulate weights and measures; to regulate the assize of bread; to regulate our moral conduct by the laws of God and of society; to regulate our manners by the customary forms.
     2. To put in good order; as, to regulate the disordered state of a nation or its finances.
     3. To subject to rules or restrictions; as, to regulate trade; to regulate diet.

There! See it? Restriction! But wait! That's the THIRD definition. The FIRST AND SECOND definitions paint a somewhat different picture. How does one restrict a weight? One doesn't. It's not about that. Regulation is about standardization, normalization, and playing by rules.
It's my contention that this is what is meant by the word, regulate, in the infamous commerce clause in our Constitution.
In other words, it's the federal government's role to see to it that the states play fair with one another in matters of trade: Everyone uses the same weights and measures, everyone delivers on their promises, and everyone lets everyone else play in the game. Moreover, it is also the federal government's job to see to it that other countries abide by the same rules when trading here, and that the native Americans fall under the same rubrik as foreign nations.
So, how is it that we all grew up just assuming it was government's role to put the brakes on whatever they want via regulation?
Clearly, this was not organic; it was deliberate. Someone meant for us to think this way.

     Prepare for rant.

All this means that the federal government has absolutely no business telling any state or individual what they can buy or sell, which, of course, implies that the feds also can't tell anyone what they can grow, mine, drill, catch, or create, because none of those things has any impact on anyone else's rights or opportunities to engage in commerce. If I make a better mousetrap, you can, too. No one is stopping you. Except that this is exactly what our government does.
     And it's got to stop.
Government had its thumb on the scale when Microsoft became the big, bad, bully, and WordPerfect declined.
Government built Google to eclipse Alta Vista.
     Government buried MySpace under Facebook.
     And that's not all.
When government writes thousand-plus page tax and rule books which incentivize companies to off-shore manufacturing, they're violating their obligation under the commerce clause, by deliberately disadvantaging Americans.
When government promotes immigration, either temporary (H1B visas) or permanent, they have their thumb on the scale of American workers by flooding the labor pool with cheap labor.
When government adbicates their responsibility to enforce border security (and I know this first hand) (don't challenge me on it) they again violate their Constitutional obligation to ensure foreign countries play by the same rules, not only letting foreigners take Americans' jobs, but allowing foreign countries' agents to work those jobs without abiding by the same tax and employment rules American citizens must abide by.

By the way ...

I worked for six years in a large (300+ employees with offices in LA, Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks, and San Jose) California law firm whose entire business model was based on getting hospitals compensated for indigent care.
What this means is that illegals could get more healthcare than any citizen, utterly free of charge. All they had to do was show up at an emergency room, and leave with anything from a Band-Aid to a new heart and pair of lungs, all for free. For them. We get sent the bill.
So don't let anyone tell you that illegal aliens can't get welfare benefits. They get them indirectly so that none of it can ever be directly traced to any of them, and so liberals can make fun of conservatives for claiming that illegals are bleeding our welfare system dry.

From my playlist

You'd never guess it, but I'm the romantic one in our marriage. She'd tell you otherwise, but the indisputable fact is that this is the kind of thing that she would never, ever do, and has never done.
     "What's that?", you ask.
I maintain a public list of love songs right here called, Marcus loves Marlina, that she (or you) can listen to any time.
There are only four criteria for getting on this list:
     1) It's a love song. (of course)
     2) It's sung by a guy. (I imagine were me)
     3) It's sung to a girl. (They only wish were her)
     4) I like it. (A lot!)

Black Lab - Circus Lights

I used to make 'Marcus loves Marlina' CDs for her to listen to in the car, but I doubt she ever listened to any of them more than once. Our musical tastes just don't mesh. That's one of the reasons (the kids and) I always listen to music through headphones.
Hey, ladies! Ever have a guy do anything like this for you? No? Whatcha doin' wrong?
Don't worry about me, though. I didn't marry her for her romantic bent.

Ever see a driver's license photo like this?

She's 43 here!

     Eat your hearts out, guys.
     Yes, William, that's Gabi's mom.
